you caught me lingering

so i take my pill at 9pm every day. i've been religious on taking it on time and surprisingly had little side effects. anyways, last night i took it at 9 and went to a club and had a few drinks. well around (and i'm guessing here) i think it was around 12 midnight i threw up..is this considered a missed pill???

i shifted the netflix queue SPECIFICALLY so i could have hours of my own stuff to watch this week while the parents are away, and all this xena and futurama is just sitting there while i swim around in delicious sweet comics goodness. SO MUCH OF IT. SO MUCH. and i keep hopping around in time also, which is slightly confusing but it’s surprisingly easy to keep rough track of chronology by the art. (gorgeous composition but ugly, over-detailed faces=late seventies and eighties, too many shadows and horrific bulging muscles and no texture=early to mid-nineties, sudden arrival of BRIGHT COLORS plus basically decent but bland, over-slick, vaguely rubbery people=late nineties. and so forth.) (also, the hair. and the clothes. oh god, the hair and the clothes.)

Here I was wondering just how I would be able to stay away from LJ because I promised Nick I'd watch the Doctor Who season finale with him on Monday.

because I now can't watch Doctor Who becuase tomorrow I'm leaving home early to drive up to Hervey Bay because my grandfather is in the hospital and they're not sure how long he will last.

He was really really bad this evening. Blood cell count was really low, platelet count was really low and he was moved to ICU.

I get a call from my mum saying his really bad and then a phone call from my older brotehr saying it's really really really bad and the whole family is driving up there tomorrow. I manage to talk to mum even though she's full on in tears and ask if it's alright if I go up as well. She says Yes of course so that's where I'll be tomorrow.

Then I get another phone call a couple of hours later saying that he's better and being moved out of ICU but I'm still going up there. Even if it is just to say Goodbye.

Who knows how long I'll be up there for. Probably just a day or two as I have the dogs here that I can't leave alone for days on end.
