News

So, after deciding not to do Honours because I didn't really feel comfortable for various reasons, I've just finished my application for the Master of Arts (Professional and Applied Ethics) at ANU. I spoke to the Course Convenor yesterday who said that despite the website saying that I need Hons or a Grad Dip to qualify for entry, I should be fine to get in, given my undergraduate major and the fact that I can argue a case relating work to the degree. Given she's the one who decides who gets into the program, I'm feeling vaguely confident. Now I just have to hope that same argument works as far as the company is concerned and I manage to convince them to sponsor my study, otherwise budgets will be tight for a while.

Still - hi academy, I'm back. It's actually quite exciting, and I really like the sound of the program. I'll be going in part time, which is about four years, coursework, plus a sub-thesis. The conversation I had with the Convenor yesterday was pretty cool, actually, in terms of tying work-stuff into my studies and intersections between bioethics/public health/business ethics that work stuff kinda bleeds around.

In other news, I'll be in Brisbane from this time next week, until about the 6th of January. If you want to catch up, let me know. Don't wait for me to call you, because it's highly likely I don't have your number. Also, what are Brisbane people doing for NYE?

Oh hai.

So, I really am going to get back to blogging soon. In the meantime, have a summary of my life over the last month or so.

Work: Is going well. I still maintain that I can only do this job for at most three years at a time, because any longer is likely to make me just loathe people. Not just dodgy claimants, but their stupid-ass employers who fail to understand that denying claims is a sure-fire way to make them cost a bucket-load of money. Still, my current portfolio actually isn't too bad, and I must admit, there have been some majorly positive changes to the way this company runs in comparison to my experience with them back in 2001-2003. Of course, four years after I left, they're STILL talking about how the dodgy-ass computer system is being replaced "soon", but the interim patch-jobs are vastly improved at this stage, and there's some other shiny stuff being rolled out in the next year. In amusing news, a fair chunk of my current colleagues are relatively well-acquainted with my former team leader (the one who contributed largely to my exit from the company back in 2003), and the general consensus is that she's an utterly noxious individual, which makes me feel strangely validated.

Also, the annual Insurance Ball is next Friday, which I know doesn't sound like much fun, but Insurance folk are suprisingly hilarious when you ply them with alcohol. Also, this town does a lot more client schmoozing, or, rather, I'm a lot more involved in client schmoozing down here because we have such a small office.

Home: Is great. $ and I have discovered the farmers' market, which is shiny and awesome and full of win. It does require getting up rather too early for a Saturday, but seriously, the food is worth it, and it means I get a surprising amount of stuff done over the weekends now. Foxtel has been installed, which was particularly useful when I was off sick for a week and a half. I started with a cold and an ear infection in both ears, which then developed into mild bronchitis, which was highly unpleasant. Foxtel assisted largely in maintaining my sanity whilst stuck at home. We've been going to the gym semi-regularly, which is quite rewarding at this stage (also, just so we're clear at this point, I have no idea if I've lost weight, and don't much care - the gym is just fun, and getting my strength back up is rather awesome), and I'll be able to start swimming again in a couple of weeks (can't swim for a month because of the ear infections), which will be yay. Also, as I just recently mentioned to [info]ebe, they've torn down one of the coffee shops at my local shopping centre and are building a Krispy Kreme. Okay, so Woden (where the current Krispy Kreme is) isn't really that far away (I mean seriously, it's Canberra. Everything is about 25mins drive away. Further than that is New South Fricking Wales), but dude. Krispy Kreme within walking distance from my house. :D

Seasonal Holidays: We're off to buy our Xmas Tree tomorrow, and I have to work on my giftlist for the in-laws. We will be in Brisbane from 22/12/07 - 06/01/08, so, Brisbanefolk, let me know of Holiday season goings-on that are afoot.

Media and Geekery: I'm generally about a week or two behind on most of my tv shows at any given time, at the moment. Despite my lack of existence on LJ, I'm spending quite a bit of time on the internets, and have expanded my blogreading almost exponentially. I'm hoping to get linkblogging back up and running in the next week or so, also. I'm reading a helluva lot more, these days, which I'm quite pleased about. I'm slowly working through the enormous pile of books I've bought over the last few years and haven't gotten around to reading. Also, comics. I has found a replacement comics store; Impact Comics. It has no [info]polrua, but the staff do not look at me like I possess some kind of cooties, are good with standing orders and are friendly, even. It makes me yay.

Social Life: Largely non-existent. Dear Brisbane folk, I miss yoooou. Love, me. That said, [info]rhianwren's birthday was fun, and, um ... there have been numerous work drinks? Yeah, my social life kinda fails down here, but honestly, I'm not too fussed about that. I'm kinda happy being fairly homely at the moment, and doing most of my socialising-type-stuff in Brisbane. Though hopefully there will be a trip or two to Sydney next year, lest my parents complain a lot, and there are folks I should catch up with.

Speaking of my parents, Dad finally retired (well, technically he's on long service leave first, then he's retiring. They left for overseas last month, first to China (Dad's never been before, which should be intereating), and then Dad's going to Scotland for a couple of weeks. I never did check when they get back. Ah well, I'm sure they'll call me.

Also, Daylight Savings is still fail. I can haz proper tiem now plz?

Oh Hai.

So, yeah. Not dead, just distracted.

Summary.

Brisbane was great - twas good to catch up with the people I did see, others I'm sorry I missed you, but I should be up again around Christmas, so hopefully more catch-ups will be in order.

Graduation was long. In what I think is ultimately a good thing all round, neither the Vice-Chancellor or the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), who were largely responsible for shafting my degree, were at graduation, so I couldn't punch either of them. The Chancellor got very long-winded about how much the university supported us, and it too every inch of my self-restrain to not burst into bitter cackling onstage whilst he was talking. I don't think the eleventy-million health graduates would've got it. Meanwhile, a friend of mine, Scott, was student rep, and managed to get a lovely polite-but-well-placed barb about the importance of humanities in his speech, which made me smile. I'll have photos of me in silly hat later.

The meeting-of-the-in-laws went off without a hitch. Mother was on her best behaviour, which is what I expected. The only problem with mother being on her best behaviour is that I then have to listen to people babble on about how damn lovely she is and how much she obviously cares about me blahblahblah, to which the only coherent response I can ever think of is "That's great, doesn't excuse her being a violent neglecting harmful person. Please STFU and stop pretending like you know my family because you had dinner with them once." But, well, yelling at my mother-in-law is never a good idea, and I can do coherent or quiet, bit not both, when it comes to that.

Tori was glorious, and the difference between a just-Tori gig and a Tori+band gig is phenomenal. I like both, and the stuff off the new album is fucking awesome live, as is, y'know, everything.

Work is good, busy but not horrible; I've got all of my portfolio now, which is still weird because they had a much bigger standard portfolio size when I was last working here, so it feels rather small. It's good though. Review Meeting with one of the national clients next week, which should be interesting, but the files are all fairly well on track at this stage, and we're far enough away from renewal that they shouldn't get too snarky about estimates.

Home is good; honestly, part of my internet-abscence has to do with the fact that by the time I get home from work, curling up in bed with the Foxtel remote seems like a much more comfortable idea. Still, much of the good US TV started up this week, so I'll be spending at least some regular time on the tubes from now on. Plus, we've been training at the gym two nights a week, so honestly my internets-time is significantly reduced. I forgot how much full-time work cuts into tubes-time.

I'll probably do a quick skim of the f-list, but if there's anything major I should know, put it in the comments. :)

Day 7. Still Not Frozen to Death.

First week of work went well. They're good people, as far as one can discern after a week. I started the week with a law firm lunch (yay! wine!) and ended the week with a full-day team-building/training thing (yay! wine!). Amusingly, the guy from HR?Training who was facilitating the training thing on Friday was I guy I knew from when he first started as a Case Manager when I was last with the company. It was nice to see a familiar face and get a whole bunch of Sydney Office gossip/news. :D

'Kyrie (my PC, for the uninitiated) was picked up this morning, though she's not being unpacked until I actually have a desk to put her on. The rest of the unpacking will be done today/tomorrow.

I've booked my trip back up for Graduation+Tori, so I shall be in Brisbane from Sat 15th (thus shall be at Matt's Birthday Thingamy), to Sun 23rd. There may be drinks on the Friday night on account of me having done that odd-shaped hat and gown thing otherwise known as graduation. <strike>Also to celebrate having survived my parents visiting, since they're also heading up for graduation</strike>.

In other news, there is wrestling on this evening. Like, DOWN THE ROAD. Sadly, I get the feeling that live wrestling isn't quite as slashtastic as the stuff on tv. Still. I'm sure my slashy brain will try.

Short Note.

Dear Queensland Police,

That was entirely unnecessary. I'm not sure if you're still trying to claim you're not unnecessarily violent, but you're failing quite spectacularly. Though points go to the officer who realised just in time that kicking the Indigenous student after you'd pushed him to the ground would've been a really stupid move.

Not even a shadow of something that might smell like love,
me.

QUT Protest went, um, interestingly this afternoon. And then I went drinking. More later in the week. Right now, I need to pack.

Oh yeah, I'll be in Canberra from tomorrow until July 31st. I'll still have intertubes, so I can tell you all how OMGCOLD I am.

ETA: Liam - I'll be wanting a copy of that TNA PPV when I get back. :P

Wheee

So, after spending way too much money on medication (asthma meds for winter + antibiotics and stuff for infected ingrown toenail = lots), I went and made myself feel better with comics and books, the latter purchased with the shiny $150 Borders voucher I got back in April.

Stuff wot I got:
Comics:
* Supernatural Origins #2
* Buffy Season Eight #4
([info]polrua was also lovely enough to point out the latest Minx title, Re-Gifters, which I couldn't afford this week, but have set aside for my next lot of comics purchasing.)
Books:
bell hooks - Feminist Theory: From Margin to Center
Virginia Woolf - A Room of One's Own / Three Guineas
Merl Storr (ed) - Bisexuality: A Critical Reader
Neil Gaiman - Fragile Things
Patrick Süskind - Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

A nice mix of theory & fiction, I thought. Though I could've done without the sales clerk at Borders looking at me like I have two heads for not actually caring about HP7. *eyeroll*

In other book musing, I'm feeling the urge to re-read José Saramago's The Gospel According to Jesus Christ, which is a beautiful book, written in a style that takes some getting used to, but is capitaving once you're used to it.

Tomorrow was going to be wrestling (TNA PPV at Liam's), but that's moved to next week, so tomorrow will be grocery shopping and curling up with books and knitting. Yup, now that degree is finished, I'm knitting again. Black scarf for me from the stash, and scarves for [info]stephendann and [info]debs7. Due to budget issues, I can't really afford to go yarn shopping for those for another couple of weeks, but Debs, I can go looking at yarn this week and let you know approx how much, and if you want to get some moneydollars to me I can do the buying and get started sooner. I don't mind either way, so it's up to you.

OH EM GEE.

Armageddon Expo, Auckland. Oct 20-22nd 2007.

Just look at that freaking guest list, dammit!

Dammit, if my University is going to collapse around me, I'm going to console myself with shiny shiny con guests.

Fingers crossed it fits with $'s Semester 2 teaching schedule.

Life Without Intertubes

Am mostly offline since last week, and after a skip-200 read of the flist minus communities, you people post way too much.

Have spent the week with $, who is up for a while, relaxing and cooking and watching the food channel on cable tv at the in-laws' house. Food Channel = WIN.

Last night was TMNT. TMNT = YAYE.

Will probably be at Supernova this weekend.

But yes. You lot post too much. I've done a reasonable read of stuff, but if there's stuff that you particularly want me to see, linking to it in the comments would be good (I'll screen comments in this post).

Life is good.

The Universe. It Fails Me. And Then It Doesn't.

It fails for not letting me find out about this earlier. Comedy Opera about Paul Keating. There will be a hole in my life until I can see this.

To solve this hole dilemma, I discovered that it's playing in Sydney in June/July and have now decided that I'm visiting Sydney again once exams are over.

Life Notes

Tonight's presentation went well. I had a slight panic because the bulk of my notes were in the Notes section of the Powerpoint file, which, as I'd somehow managed to forget, isn't visible when you're running the slideshow. Still, I managed to wing it quite successfully, and both my tutor and the lecturer (who was sitting in) had very good things to say after class. So I'm feeling pretty confident and pleased with myself.

I talked to my folks tonight, and they've for some reason decided they want to take holidays in the second half of this year (Dad's taking his Long Service Leave), and are wanting to take me with them. Dad wants to go to Scotland, Mum wants to go to China, and Dad was suggesting a China & Scotland trip. Honestly, I hadn't really thought about going overseas this year. I mean, Scotland would be particularly cool, since I haven't been there yet, but I must admit the prospect of not one but two 20+ hour flights with my folks doesn't really appeal. I mean, really, I have enough trouble coping with a few hours with them in a situation where I can leave; being trapped in the air for considerably longer seems almost unthinkable. I don't think they'll be devastated if I don't go, but there's this part of me going "Um, when are they going to offer to pay for you to go overseas again?" I dunno. We'll see how I feel in a few months, I guess.

Not life news, but this is just too odd: A US Court has decided that contraception and pregnancy are not related. I'm sorry, what? *boggle*

Day 16. Still not dead.

Once again, Melanie's hairdresser is awesome. Now if only they weren't so damned far away.

Tracey's engagement party went well, despite a few hilarity-making disasters, including the car getting Tracey to the venue encountering a slight case of flat tire on the way, and a slightly too large dress problem. We'd done all the fittings with the corset done up as required, and all went well. I actually did the corset up looser on Tracey than I had at fittings, and the dress was still too big. So we loosened again, and I still had to pin it to her. Bah. Of course, I also had a dress problem, as despite picking it up from having it taken in on Tuesday, when it fit suitably, I had to spend the evening with my dress pinned to my bra, because I'd apparently lost weight since Tuesday. o.O

Still, everyone looked fabulous. There shall be photos later, for the posterity of the intarwebs. Or something.

In other news, given that my toe is pretty much pain-free, with no bruising or swelling or misshapenness at 4 days after the injury, I'm suspecting that my toe was just badly bruised rather than broken. Care shall be taken with it for another week or so, just to be certain.

Also, $ and I spent Saturday doing a massive purge and organise on my place, including a run to the rubbish tip. I discovered that getting rid of about a third of my stuff means I have much more space. Who knew? We also rearranged furniture and stuff, so the writing desk and the computer desk are next to each other, which gives me a much better workspace, and much more room next to my bed and such. I had to go back to my place to grab stuff yesterday morning, and my house feels much more comfortable and welcoming and stuff. Which is awesome. Reorganising and the like always pleases me.

$ goes home tomorrow. ::sad panda:: We've basically been in close proximity since the beginning of December, which is the longest period we've been together since he moved to Canberra. So that will be somewhat difficult. However, there are plans for yum cha with Tracey on Monday, so I may just have to console myself with tasty food. Oh woe.

Also yes, I have been neglecting the intarwebs. I'm sorry. Links round-ups and other regularly scheduled programming shall resume shortly.

Christmas Wrap-up

Christmas EBE was a smaller gathering than previous years, but fun all the same. Thankyou to Maffoo for hosting. Christmas morning involved gift haulage which will be detailed below. Suffice to say, I'm pleased. Christmas lunch was a fancy-pants affair at Marco Polo with $tephen's family, though there was much engaging in sillyness, for everyone had blowy-noise-making-things and those poppy things that shoot streamers. The food was ... well, let's just say I'm not really a fan of 'East-West fusion' food as served in restaurants. Also, I still feel rather awful for having eaten foie gras (hurrah for force-feeding poultry so we can harvest their livers for eating), not least because really, when you've got special layers of cruelty it should at least produce something tasty. I mean, I'm not really an ends justify means sort of person when that sort of harm is involved, but even on that metric, it fails. And yeah, blah blah personal taste blah blah. If your taste is that narrow you've got bigger problems. Aside from that, the food wasn't awful, per se, it just wasn't really to my tastes. But that's alright. There was wine and champagne. Christmas Night was fun, and some real food helped calm my stomach down. Boxing Day was spent being lazy, Wednesday afternoon was spent playing Killer Bunnies with Tracey and Lachlan, which is even more ridiculously long and silly now that they've got all but one expansion (which isn't released yet). Last night was spent watching Armageddon at the new ManHouse (yes, I made up with the WWE for Christmas. I don't expect it to last. But seriously, Batista/Cena. Awesomely cute hugging giant men. For the win. Though in other news? I'm not sure I want to know what the WWE is holding over Vicki Guerrero's head.)

A nice blend of practical and fun stuff this year, which is always good. :D

In Canberra. Send Real Time.

I hated it when I lived in NSW. I hate it now. This time voodoo shit is whack, and can it please fuck off now. And as a migrant from more southern parts of the country, can the fuckwits from the south who are banging on about how QLD should have DST kindly FUCK OFF BACK DOWN SOUTH or SHUT THE FUCK UP.

In less crank-riddled news, I have Bloody Marys. Like, the drink, not the Supernatual MOTW. This makes me happy.

The Peppercorn Food Company sausages and burger pattie things are really really tasty. And $tephen-safe. Sadly, they are only available in NSW (for the purposes of food, ACT counts as NSW), which makes me a sad panda.

Last night involved a lot of being tired, to the point where I, then $tephen, fell asleep on a sheet in the middle of the loungeroom floor.

$tephen has chilli sauce that smells like bacon.

I was marvelling on the cab ride from the airport that everything is, well, green. Being a resident of one of the more drought-riddled states in the country, this greenery thing is really quite strange.

Links roundup will probably occur on Monday whilst $tephen is at work.

Tomorrow shall involve MARKETS! I like markets. Particularly ones that don't involve shutting down at midday.

There's something bemusing about the fact that $tephen and I are more confident in our ability to get past the DVD store than our ability to get past the Storage World.

Yes, the reason I'm not really bloggin at the moment is that I have no attention span.

Monkeys.

$tephen, this your reminder that you need to get your photo taken for, um, something. I got distracted.

TICKYBOX!

Just a short note to mention that Links Roundups are on hold for the moment. I've been spending the last week-ish making good use of the hotel room $tephen's been put up in for the Conference he's up for this week. I have no internets (I'm currently at the universty computer lab on the city campus, because I may be on holidays, but it's close and free intawebs, so it wins) so I'm behind on blogreading. I should have a chance to catch up some whilst I'm in Canberra next week, since $tephen will actually have to go to work at some point, and his apartment has internets.

[info]ebe! SMS me when you get to town this evening, and dinner shall be had, or something. Survivor Series disc shall be picked up for $, at any rate.

Before dinner, I will probably spend a few hours in the hotel spa, and after dinner I shall curl up in the bath with books. I love that $tephen feels no need to stick me in a room full of marketing academics all evening whilst he does networking and politicking things.

Lunch with Dad (and $ for backup) tomorrow, followed by GeekNight and packing, then off to Canberra on Friday. I shall return on the 18th, and the full swing of party!season shall begin. Huzzah!

And seriously? Damn I wish I had more exams that consist of sitting in a room with my lecturer and having a conversation about feminist theory and marginalised voices for half an hour. Best. Exam. Ever.

Holiday Season Wishlist Meme, 2006

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for the holidays is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Home again home again jiggety jig.

Have returned from Sydney.

First, thankyou muchly to [info]neafthemighty for putting up with a houseguest for a few days. Twas also quite lovely having a kitten wandering around the place - it helps that Tor's such a cute little manslut of a kittun. :D

So, the weekend went something like this:

Thursday: Class, then fly to Sydney. Dad called shortly after I landed, so I agreed to have dinner with the parentals while I was down. Not particularly pleased, but smeh. Caught up with Neaf, [info]madslasher and [info]nolseygnu on the train, back to Neaf's for dinner and settling and watching stuff. Watched much of the first two seasons of Lois & Clark. I'd forgotten a) how dorktastic it is, b) how hot Dean Cain is (shut up, all of you). Also, first season Jimmy Olsen shat all over the other one. Watched some more after Neaf went to bed, ended up falling asleep on the couch until Neaf was about to leave for work in the morning.

Friday: Wake up on the couch, head to bed for a couple of hours before Neaf's real estate agent pops over to fix the light in the loungeroom. Have a slight panic as I can't seem to find the cat while he and the owner are here, breathe sigh of relief when he appears from the bathroom just as they leave. Silly scaredy-Tor. Then, lounging on the couch for a bit before heading to Newtown for coffee with [info]chatondesse, then some grocery shopping, and a short trek to Marrickville Metro to get Neaf a nice big pot as a housewarming present, and so I could make a great honking pot of stew for dinner. There was discussion of Katie and Nola coming over for dinner, but they piked, so more food and watching of stuff for us. :) Fell asleep on the couch again, because I'm a twit, woke up and 7am and poured myself into bed for a few more hours.

Saturday: Woke up sometime after 11, showered and such, then Neaf and I headed to Chinatown to catch up with [info]queenofbimbania and [info]stompiegirl, as I had earlier this month discovered that Neaf had never been to yum cha before, and decided it was my duty to rectify this. So, yum cha at the East Ocean was good. Many many pork buns, for they are one of the most awesome foodstuffs on the planet. After yum cha it was back to Neaf's for sitting around watching stuff. Whilst doing so, I attempted to make brownie-cupcakes, but Neaf's oven hates me, so I had my first baking-disaster. Much burnt cake. Makes me a sad panda. Later, Katie and Nola asked if we wanted to go see Superman Returns again, so after a bit we dropped Em and Kerri to their respective homes, and I got my late Christmas present from Em (eee! a monkey!), then off to the movies. Superman is still pretty, and this viewing prompted some wonderful snark. Particularly at Lois Lane wearing glasses. Because that's just amusingly stupid. I had considered heading out to BlackPlanet afterwards, but after movies and such, I was too tired and really just wanted to go to bed.

Sunday: Lazy day, some shenanigans with parents, what with Dad thinking I'd come round to see them earlier, but whatever, I went round for a while, got a shiny new digital camera, then off to dinner. Mother chucked a hissy fit about 500m from home and made us take her back, at which point Dad reveals that they hadn't spoken for about 2 weeks. -_- Oh well. Safe in the knowledge that Mother's hissy fit was her problem, and my newfound feeling that the effect of said hissy fit on Dad is also not my problem, I went and had dinner with Dad, and chatted about stuff with little guilt or angst. Dad dropped me home, wherein I got hugs and kitten-cuddles, and we watched Mirrormask again. For Gaiman and McKean are gods of crack. Talked to the boy for a bit, watched some more stuff, then off to bed.

Monday: A sleep in, followed by packing, then off to town for lunch with [info]domesticmouse, followed by some wandering about town and shopping and a brief internet-cafe stint, before catching the train home with Neaf and a dash to the airport. Realising I'd told Debs the wrong arrival time, I left her a message to see if she could be at the airport in Brisbane an hour earlier than originally planned, but didn't hear back before I had to turn the phone off. Luckily, it was cool, so she arrived just as I was picking up my baggage and heading out of the airport to wait for her. A stop at McDonald's for dinner, then home again.

A fairly relaxed trip, which was nice. Particularly with the seeing Mother without being a complete mess afterwards. It seems this therapy thing is doing something useful. I need to work on the snarkiness in her presence, but that sort of thing takes time.

And now, off to class and stuff.

Points of Note

1. Have officially finished work now.

2. 6 Bloody Marys (including 2 doubles) in the space of 3 hours makes for a jen who is a wee bit intoxicated.

3. Food makes one be more sober.

4. The DC Comics messageboards are full of whack.

5. My boyfriend is awesome.

6. I want an attack-womb, because gee whiz, I'm not doing much with mine, and having an attack-womb sounds like a much better idea. It could fight crime, even. With my powermove; Cervix-attack.

7. Okay, so I might still be a little pished.

8. I meant to wash my hair this evening, so I could take my bouncy-wavy-hair into the hairdresser tomorrow and go "Okay, this is what my hair looks like dried naturally. Instead of blow-drying my hair straight, how about we find me a cut that will look halfway decent without maintenance I have no time for?" Ah well. I shall have to attempt to convey my sentiment with pesky words and flamboyant gesturing to indicate what my hair normally looks like.

9. Yay! Uni next week!

10. I'm in Sydney next weekend. Neafz0r, I'm assuming your mobile number's still the same (if not, lemme know), I shall msg you when I land, and probably head over to your work, where I shall probably arrive just as you're finishing up. Is that a useful plan? If you've a better idea, lemme know that too. :) Also, le yay! *flails*

11. Sleep now.
